> Classes are broken into two event center rooms. One tract is geared towards licensed irrigators, municipal and education institution employees and landscape architects, including business owners & managers. The second tract is geared towards licensed technicians and those in troubleshooting positions.

8 Hour Backflow Class Tract for BP, LI, IT, II, Water, Waste Water Utility Operator and WTS Licensees:

  • Backflow Rules and Regulations

> Dual credit is awarded for those who hold a BP licensee and one of the following licenses: irrigator (LI), technician (IT), inspector (II), Water, Wastewater and WTS licensees. Attendees MUST attend the BPAT class for the entire 8 hours to receive credit.

8 Hour Spanish Only Class for LI, IT and II Licensees:

  • Irrigation Rules, Components, Concepts and Installation

> Those wanting to attend the Spanish only class MUST register online. There will be no onsite registration for this class tract. Attendees MUST attend the Spanish only class for the entire 8 hours to receive credit.

Online registrants will receive a waterproof sling backpack, black with gray panel and imprinted with DIA logo. This lightweight, water-repellent crossbody bag is made from sleek performance polyester. Designed for versatility and comfort with an adjustable padded strap and breathable mesh backing. Despite its slim profile, it offers smart storage: front quick-access pocket, two side mesh bottle pockets, interior zip pocket for electronics, stretch mesh sleeve for small devices, and a built-in carabiner for keys or pouches.

FAQs

What types of registration does the DIA offer? The DIA offers both online (pre-registration) and registration the day of at the door. Online registrants receive a price break and this year’s featured DIA promotional item. (Note: Registration for the Spanish only LI, IT and II class is online only.)

What are the advantages to registering online? Attendees who register online will be able to skip to the preregistered tables, receive pre-printed badge and certificate, and will receive DIA’s online registrant promo item (see above).

How much does the Expo cost for attendees? Individual attendees can register online for $165 while groups of five or more can register for $155 each. Registration fees at the door for both individuals and groups are $185 each.

At what time do the doors open and what time does class start? The doors are open by 7:30 a.m. and class begins at 8:00 a.m. sharp.

Do I have to hold a license to attend? You do not have to be licensed to attend. If in attendance the entire 8 hours, you will receive a completion certificate for your records or for credit in another industry.

How do I receive my CEUs? Attendees sign in when they arrive and after attending the 8 hours of classes, attendees sign out on the official sign out sheet and receive their completion certificate. Attendees must sign in and sign out and may NOT have a substitute sign out for them or collect their certificate. Any discrepancies in receiving hours will be checked against sign in/out sheets and certification pickup.

Do I have to attend the entire day to receive TCEQ approved CEUs? Attendees must attend for the entire 8 hours in order to receive TCEQ CEUs. Classes offered in the irrigator and technician tracts can be mixed and attendees can choose the class they would like to attend during the hour at which it’s scheduled. Attendees who are in the back flow class tract and the Spanish LI/IT/II class must remain in that class the entire day to receive CEUs.

At what time are attendees able to visit vendor booths? Per TCEQ class time requirements, the vendor room is open before classes begin in the morning, during class breaks and during lunch.

Will you be serving food? Coffee and breakfast pastries are served in the morning, a hot plate with chicken fried chicken and sides are served at lunch, and cookies are served as a snack in the afternoon.
